The melting of polar ice creates a positive feedback loop, Tremblay said. Higher temperatures means less ice, and that means more sunlight is absorbed by water, which in turn raises temperatures.

gotta loved flawed reasoning. think about it this about it this way, less ice means a somewhat more favorabvle albedo for absorbing heat but heating up the oceans also produces more clouds which alters the earth’s albedo in such a way as to deflect more heat or to cool it.~KM
